BWR (Boiling Water Resistant) grade plywood with IS 303 certification is the minimum recommendation for kitchens in Hassan's humid climate. For areas directly exposed to water (under sink, near dishwasher), we recommend BWP/Marine grade (IS 710).
Both are premium European brands. Hettich offers excellent value with slightly lower prices β ideal for most residential projects. Blum has edge in heavy-duty applications with 65kg drawer capacity. For luxury projects, we recommend Blum; for premium-value, Hettich.
Granite is more heat-resistant (hot vessels directly) and budget-friendly. Quartz is non-porous (no sealing needed) and has consistent patterns. Our recommendation: Use granite near cooktop areas and quartz for island/breakfast counter.
Initially, eco-friendly materials (like E0 grade plywood or Low-VOC paints) may cost 10-25% more. However, they result in lower long-term costs through better durability and improved health/air quality for your family.
